Site Planning

Whether RV, Trailer or Tent camping, GMHG may have a space for you; however it’s not a traditional camp ground. To register, you’ll need the size of your sleeping quarters:

  • Tents
    • 2, 4 or 8 man tents
  • Trailer/RV
    • Length will determine size
    • This HAS Been checked at checkin before, make sure you use the right length.

Location

  • You have to pick a Location on the mountain to camp. This is gonna partly determine alot of the rest of your experience.
  • Camping is first-come, first serve .. so if you want a flat spot or to camp with others, you’ll want to get there early as space goes quick.
  • most all camping spots are on a hill .. so you’ll want to plan to level your equipment with boards.
    • For RV/Campers .. plan to have to raise the down-hill wheel as much as 6-8 inches to level your vehicle.
    • Even if tent camping if you’re using a stove, you’ll want to level it to be able to cook
  • If you need Services .. you should keep this in mind when selecting your site.

Camp Size

Space is at a premium, so there are strong restrictions on how much gear you can bring and how far you can spread out:

  • RV and Campers can have their space + the awning out over a section of the ground
  • Tents can have their space + 1 popup
  • If you’re group camping ..
    • you can assemble your popups
    • suspend a tarp over and equivalent area from trees
