Jasper Parking

This is where you park if Camper Parking is out of space. This is also where your car may end up if it’s towed.

MacRowdy

This camping is for tent campers only! There is some power .. but not alot up the hill, and you must brave Stagger Alley to get up and down the hill with your gear.

MacFamily

This is the “civilized” side of camping ( really more glamping ;). All the campers and RVs are found on this side of 221, as well as most amenities:

  • Power
  • Water
  • Porta Poties
  • Bath house
  • Firewood Delivery
  • ICE Deliveries

This is also where most all the “Family” events occur.

Camping Registration

This is where you check in when you arrive at The Games. You should receive:

  • Camping Parking Passes
    • Paid locations next to Registration
    • Jasper Parking
  • Camping Ticket.. you give to Camping Staff to manage your placement.
  • Wrist bands to access the games

Once you’re all checked in .. you’ll be sent through Gate 2, and meet up with Camping Staff to go find your camping spot.

Movie Night

This is an event held every year for children ( and adults ) to enjoy an animated movie on a screen. We’ve shown several different movies over the years:

  • Brave
  • Encanto
  • Frozen

What to Expect

  • Bench seating in a covered space ( in case of weather )
  • Movie for the kids

What to Bring

  • Anything to keep warm whilst watching
  • Chairs for Parents to sit in the back if it fills up
  • Popcorn always a hit

Fairy Walk

This event is for camping kids (mostly 🙂 where you can dress up as as Fairly and go around and bless our other campers. Typically blessings are given using a glitter and other sticky sparkly things ( gems, etc .). Blessings are ONLY given after checking with the intended.

What to Expect

  • A walk about the Family side of the camp ground
  • Many children dressed up with fairy dresses and wings
  • Glitter blessings given out by touching the blessed ( we do not throw glitter! )

What to Bring

  • Your most awesome fairy outfit
  • Glitter, gems and other things with which to bless others
  • Cameras .. lots of picture opportunities

Scotch Tasting & Auction

This is an event that any camper can come join. It’s generally hosted right next to the flags on the main road. For a mere $20 donation, you can sample many different scotches and food donated by campers. All the proceeds goto the St. Andrews Society to help fun the Children Events at the Games.

Once the tasting is over, an auction is held using donated

What to Expect

  • before the event, the auction pieces will be laid out. Generally there are three types of offers:
    • a “direct purchase” table with prices
    • a “silent auction” table with items you can bid on,
    • an “open auction” table with items that will be live-bid.
  • A line will form starting about 30m before the event to get in.
  • During the event:
    • Several different scotches from peaty to smokey; and you’re encouraged to start at one end and make it to the other
    • Lots of good food, much of it cooked right on the mountain. There is usually enough to forego Dinner if you’re of a mind, but it also helps to NOT have an empty stomach when scotch sampling.
  • After the event the Auction will be held just outside.
    • Remember to ONLY RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU ARE BIDDING
    • Please have cash on hand for the items or make sure your payment method is accepted BEFORE bidding (Venmo, PayPal .. etc.)
    • And remember “it’s all for the kids!”

What to Bring

  • Money to get in for the Tasting event, and money for the auction.
  • If you care to donate food or a bottle of Scotch, please bring it to the space 30m before the event.

Bear’s charity Poker Tournament

In 2019 a new tradition was born! A Texas Holdem’ Poker Tournament. This is managed and generally ran by Bear. Generally it has been hosted and held on Matheson Corner but location may vary due to weather or number of players.

Now you may be thinking “This is an odd event to see at a scottish gathering” and quite frankly you would be right. You’re probably asking yourself “why?”. The first being to see who the best player in camp is of course!

Now as the title says, this is a charity poker tournament. So there is a twenty dollar ($20) buy in. Now you may be asking yourself “what does that get me?”

In typical scottish fashion it gets you a shot at 1 of 3 bottles of scotch and of course .. BRAGGING RIGHTS for a year! The overall tournament winner get first pick of the bottles, followed by second place with third getting the remaining bottle.

The bottles vary every year so you never know whats going to be up for grabs! More information is provided as time to the games draws near. So keep an eye on the Facebook page, here or you can always message Bear and he will get back to you as soon as he can!
